Agile Methodology : a real life project

Biography

J'ai 25 ans d'expérience en informatique, dont plus de 20 comme chef de projet. J'ai démarré avec des méthodlogies Waterfall, puis me suis converti à l'Agilité. Je suis en charge d'une SSII en Algérie (Kepler Technologies); et j'anime aussi des ateliers pour les étudiants (ESI) et des professionnels sur la gestion de projets et la méthodologie Agile, inspirés de mon expérience. I have 25 years of experience in IT, with more than 20 years as project manager. I was educated with waterfall methodology, and converted to the Agile Methodlogy. I know run an IT company in Algeria called Kepler Technologies. I also run workshops for students and professionals on project management and agile methodology best practices, taking my inspiration from real life experience.

Description

Après une courte introduction sur la Méthodologie Agile, je présente une application pratique au travers d'un projet livré par Kepler pour l'un de ses Client Suisse, avec des intervenants basés sur 3 continents. Je conclu mon intervention avec un Q&R un peu spécial: les questions sont enregistrées au fil de l'eau dans un backlog (j'utilise JIRA Software); à la fin de l'intervention, je sélectionne les questions auxquelles je peux répondre en 15' dans un sprint; je démarre le sprint, répond aux questions; et clos le sprint avec un rapport généré par l'outil que je commente. Cette conclusion peut être étendue aux autres speakers, auquel cas nous formons une scrum team. After a short introduction on the Agile Methodology, I will illustrate how Kepler delivered a large project for a Swiss client gathering a team of individuals located in 3 different continents. I will conclude with a very special Q&A session using JIRA Software: questions gathered during the presentation will be documented on the fly in a back log, then selected as part of a sprint with fixed duration, I will then start the sprint, answer the questions, and comment the sprint report. The Q&A sprint can include questions from other speakers, so all speakers can act as a scrum team during the Q&A session.
